Narrative progress

I have been modifying and adding new stuff to the MAX/MSP patch that i wrote for my sound project. In trying to implement my narrative project i came across a few stumbling blocks. In spite of some poetry having no rhyming structure, I really wanted to keep some semblance of rhyme for this project as a personal preference. This made life a little complicated, as part of the project was for the user to record in their own bit of a poem. How, when playing poems back, could i ensure that the lines read out where in rhyming couplets? Funnily [...]

Narrative project

For our narrative module we have to explore, well, narrative. I have been looking into poetry, and how different people interpret rhymes and rhythm in their own way. It is often a very personalised thing, and poems don’t necessarily have any rhyming structure. They dont even have to make sense. I have fond memories as a child listening to an audiobook of Edward Lear and other nonsense poems, which kept me highly entertained on long car journeys. Here is a verse from the Jumblies, a tale of some people going to sea in a sieve:
